Hello I’m Michael Chan, Minister of Citizenship and Immigration.
I’m excited that so many young people from all across Ontario are coming out and volunteering during National Volunteer Week. You are taking up the ChangeTheWorld Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge. By volunteering in your community, you’re making positive change. That’s great!
It’s a way to get involved in something you really care about – whether it’s the environment, social justice, the people in your community or learning and building skills.
Whatever your reason, you are doing good. And you make many of us proud: your family, your school, your community – even your government.
I hope you and your friends have lots of fun volunteering this week.
Encourage as many people as you can to get in on the action. Volunteer – and ChangeTheWorld.
