Transcript for Video on Activating Your Pension Services Portal Account
Slide 1
Hi! My name is David and I'll be taking you through the process of activating your Pension Services Portal account.

Slide 2
Before we get started, there are a few important things you need to understand:

• Pension Services Portal (or PSP) accounts are issued to individuals and should not be shared. This means if your plan needs multiple people to have access to the PSP, they all need to have their own PSP accounts.
• If FSCO believes your account has been incorrectly activated or shared, or used to gain unauthorized access to the PSP, we'll notify you that your account has been suspended. For security purposes, any improper delegations or other account activity may be cancelled by FSCO. Keep in mind that account suspensions and cancelled delegations are not considered acceptable reasons for granting an extension of a filing deadline. As a result, late fees or other penalties may be incurred.

Slide 3
I'll now take you through the process of activating your PSP account.

The first thing you need to do is find the letter that contains your unique user name and temporary password. On screen, you'll see an example of what this letter looks like.

Slide 4
If you did not receive a letter with your unique user name and temporary password, you need to get this information before you continue with the account activation process.

If you are the pension plan administrator, as defined under section 8 of the Ontario Pension Benefits Act, please send us an email at PensionInquiries@fsco.gov.on.ca. Your email should include your pension plan's registration number and provide your mailing address.

If you're not the plan administrator, please ask the plan administrator to grant you access to the PSP. He/she must follow the delegation process, which is outlined on FSCO's website. Once this is done, you'll receive a letter with your account access information.

If your plan administrator has already granted you PSP access, please send us an email at PensionInquiries@fsco.gov.on.ca. Your email should explain the issue you're experiencing and include the plan's registration number.

Slide 5
After you have your user name and temporary password, go to FSCO's home page at www.fsco.gov.on.ca/english. Scroll down the page until you find a section called "Key Services" and click on "Pension Services Portal".

Slide 6
You'll be taken to FSCO's Pension Services Portal home page. Click on the link "Go to the PSP".

Slide 7
You'll now see the PSP log-in page. Please enter your unique user name and temporary password, as shown in the letter you received from FSCO. Then click on the "Enter" button at the bottom of the screen.

Slide 8
You will be presented with the Change Password screen. Here you have the option to create your own customized password. Please enter the old password and then enter your new password. Re-enter the new password again and click on the "submit" button.

Your password has now been changed. Please ensure you keep your new password in a safe place.

Slide 9
Once your password is changed, you will be taken to the PSP language preference screen. Please select English or French as your preferred language.

Slide 10
You'll now be presented with the PSP Access Agreement on your screen. Please read this agreement carefully, as it sets out the conditions for using the PSP.

If you accept and agree to these terms and conditions, click on "I accept the terms and conditions" on the bottom left-hand side of the screen.

If you do not accept or agree to these terms and conditions, click on "FSCO home page". Keep in mind that if you do not accept these terms and conditions, you won't be able to access the PSP, and you won't be able to submit any filings electronically.

Slide 11
Once you accept the Access Agreement, you'll be taken to the PSP account activation page.

Please enter the email address you want associated with your PSP account. We strongly suggest that you enter your official work email address. If you enter an email address that has a non-corporate domain, you must print, complete and submit a form called "Confirmation of Email Address" within 60 days. Otherwise, your PSP account will be suspended and any past delegations will be cancelled. If you need to obtain this form, please send us an email at pensioninquiries@fsco.gov.on.ca.

Once you're finished, click on the "Register" button.

Slide 12
You should receive an automated email from FSCO with "Pension Services Portal - email address verification" in the subject line. After you open the email, click on the link entitled "Click here to confirm your email".

Slide 13
This link will automatically take you to the Pension Services Portal log-in screen, which will indicate that your PSP account has been activated. You can now log into the PSP at any time to access your account information, delegate access to a third party, or submit a filing online.

If you do not wish to log into the PSP at this time, click on the "FSCO home page" link, which will take you back to the FSCO website.

Slide 14
If you have any questions or issues activating your PSP account, please contact us by email at PensionInquiries@fsco.gov.on.ca or call (416) 590-7177.
