There is no greater adventure, no more wonderful enterprise, no more important and nobler pursuit than raising a child. Somebody once said that "The decision to have a child is momentous, it's to decide forever to have your heart go walking outside your body."

What we're announcing is, we are investing it's $4.6 million to establish here at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, our Ontario Perinatal Surveillance System. They tell me it's the first of it's kind in North America. So, we are again, going to be at the forefront here at CHEO, and at Queen's Park from time to time we just have to run to keep up with you guys, but I am very, very proud of the work that takes place here.

I especially want to thank the parents for the love, and I know you don't want to be thanked but need to be thanked for this, but you know, we will do everything that we can to put in place good schools and good healthcare and good roads and do what we can do build a stronger economy, but you in part the values to your children.

You do your best to teach them to be healthy and to grow up strong and you will help them with your homework, and you will worry when they come in late, and you will cry when you give them up when they marry. It's a wonderful adventure of life, but you take on the greatest responsibility and I wanted to thank you for doing all of that.

Thank you so much.
