Madeleine Meilleur
Minister of Community and Social Services

Our government is committing $1.5 million to Reena to construct a new centre for community living support and this money will allow them to expand programs and increase training space.

This is part of our government's $50 million infrastructure investment in social service agencies throughout Ontario. This investment will create more than 450 jobs across Ontario.

Tali Nizie
Board Chair, Reena

It is really a privilege and an honour to be here standing here and thanking the minister for this very important announcement.

This is an amazing surprise and it will allow Reena to do a lot of stuff.

This one-and-a-half million dollars will give us funding for our Pathway day care centre. This funding will allow us to increase the number of placements in our Passport program, where individuals with developmental disabilities will be able to learn life skills, literacy classes, computer work, cooking classes and most importantly, breaking down barriers with others on our large community.

These investments will also support Ontario's families and communities today. They will create and support jobs, stimulate the local economy and give this community renewed infrastructure that will serve this area for years to come.
