Thank you very much, thank you. It's great to be here at Agfa Healthcare because we've got some great news.

Today, we're announcing a grant of $29.6 million for Agfa Healthcare from our Next-Generation of Jobs Fund. This will create 100 new Ontario jobs and support almost 300 jobs that are already here. It's part of a total investment by Agfa of nearly $200 million to invent new software that will bring medical imaging in to the 21st century. It's all about harnessing that magnificent power of the human imagination.

When my mom started nursing some 60 years ago, x-rays were first, at that time, printed on glass and then on film, and you had to physically walk them around the hospital. Believe it or not, in a lot of hospitals today, we are still physically walking x-rays around. The people here at Agfa Healthcare saw an opportunity to change things for the better. They're working on software that will take x-rays and other diagnostic images and share them across a computer network, and indeed not just in one hospital but across an entire region.

It seems to me, this is an idea whose time has come, and we're making it happen today here in Ontario because innovation has always been a key part of our success and I firmly believe that innovation will be a cornerstone of our economic future.

From the first telephone, to insulin, to Imax, to the Blackberry, Ontarians have come up with brilliant ideas, and then through hard work and risk taking, turned them into products that changed the way people live right around the world. That's what today's announcement is all about.

We're doing what it takes today to ensure that tomorrow, we emerge from this challenging time with a stronger Ontario and a brighter future for everyone. Again, thank you, hats off to the folks here at Agfa. Thank you very much.
