BOARD [Supporting Aboriginal victims of crime
Toronto, Ontario]

SUPER [Chris Bentley
Attorney General of Ontario]

Chris Bentley: Well, you know, we've heard from Aboriginal Communities that they need some support to help victims of crime feel better. So we've announced today that we've been able to fund 21 applications throughout the province of Ontario: $2 million in total.

SUPER [Kimberly Murray
Aboriginal Legal Services Toronto]

Kimberly Murray: What we're going to be using that money for is to set-up a council of elders and healers to run healing circles and talking circles to help them heal from the victimization that they have experienced.

SUPER [Grandmother Pauline
Council elder]

Grandmother Pauline: There needs to be a lot of healing with our people. And this money from the government will help our people help themselves.
