OSAP - Things You Need to Know

Mobile

Planning on a postsecondary education and have questions about how to finance it?

Here are three things you need to know about OSAP.

Number one
You can get up to $12,240 per academic year!

Student debt is capped at $7,300 for a two-term academic year no matter the amount received.

Need more money?

Your college and university can make up any unmet OSAP needs.

The second thing you need to know is:
OSAP is interest-free during school and for the first six months after graduation.

For qualified students who need help paying off their student loan there is the Repayment Assistance Plan.

Number three!
You are free to work while you're in school.

You can earn up to $103 a week without it affecting your loan.

During the summer it's expected that you'll work to contribute to your education.

And remember, OSAP is a combination of grants and loans.
