Today we're announcing that we're each investing $69 million for a total of $138 million in 43 road infrastructure projects across Ontario, projects like repairing the roads and bridges in the St. Lawrence Parks region of eastern Ontario; upgrading highways in places like New Liskeard, and Cochrane in northern Ontario; and improving 400 series highways.

We'll be starting one project not far from here at Dixie road and the 401. This will help improve traffic flow and trade.

And together we are creating and preserving up to 1,100 jobs in communities across Ontario. In all, Ontario is investing over $32 billion in infrastructure.

This is creating and supporting over 300,000 jobs over two years, getting money into the hands of families, where it is needed.

It is stimulating our economy, helping us emerge from this recession. The Conference Board of Canada says the extra boost to infrastructure spending helped lift Ontario's real GDP growth by almost one percentage point in 2009.

And we expect a positive impact again this year because of our continuing investments in infrastructure. And we're pleased and proud with the work that Ontarians continue to do to bulldoze our way ahead through this difficult economic period.

I just want to take this opportunity to thank all Ontario men and women, our work force, through those people who are standing behind me right now. Thank you very much.

These projects we're announcing today will create and preserve up to 1,100 jobs in communities across Ontario. And now is the time to do it.

I thank you Prime Minister not only for joining with us at this event, but for showing what's possible when we join together to create jobs and growth.

We're building more than safe roads for Ontario families. We're building a way forward for Ontario, the greatest province in the best country in the world.

Thank you very much.
